What they found in the Texas Sabine River, was out of the ordinary. What was discovered by detectives and search parties in a rush to save the captured, turned into a nightmare of haunting events. This story takes place on August 3rd, 2004.

Main Character :

The main character in this novel is Tony Mendez. The similar characteristic between me and Tony Mendez is curious. Tony Mendez is very curious about the skull that had been uncovered during the fishing trip with his six year old son and try to break the mystery on his own. While related to me, I also do have the same characteristic as Tony Mendez. I am very curious on something I do, and try my very best to achieve the goal that I had targetted.

Next is brave. Tony Mendez is very brave in his investigation to solve the mystery. He never fear of anything. He also a person who is never give up, in everything also he do. There is no doubt for courage of Tony Mendez. In my case, I am very brave to face the fact of my life, even I am not brave as Tony Mendez, who is fight the ghost. But, it can be consider as brave too. I think.. I also never ever are going to give up ! Even if I fall, I will then stand up back to withstand all the obstacles that through me.

For the conclusion, Tony Mendez is a very good character that all people can follow his characteristic. He can be a good role model to all humankind including me.

A Gift :

Beneath the moon and upon the earth,
caw the birds who carry souls.
Upon the earth, are those who crawl
and await the call,
of the caw.
To find their peace,
in which they yearn.
For being doomed,
and damned their turn……

Short Stories - TWO FROGS

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them
fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit
was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The
two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit
with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop,
that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took
heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down
and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again,
the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He
jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the
other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to
them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the
entire time.

This story teaches two lessons:

1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging
word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it
through the day.

2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes
to kill them.

Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your
path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand
that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak
words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in
difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time
to encourage another.
