Comments :
I came with very little expectations to the premiere, as I'm not a big fan of this genre. But between Robert Downey's performance, the humorous winks, and the great visual and especially sound effects, Guy Ritchie won me over (the slow-mos were painfully great, by the way, and throughout the movie I felt I was actually in 19th century London).

Even the expected cliches (like the one with the French giant, or the "cliff hanger" near the pigs, and finally - the scene on the bridge, were dealt with a healthy portion of self-humorous wit.

I also loved the recaps that resolve all the unanswered matters. Leave imagination for the book, I say. This version is meant for the internet generation that requires immediate results and satisfaction, and can't accept anything less than a HD & 3D experience.

This is great entertainment, just don't expect anything more than that, of course. Enjoy!
